IC opens case against former head of military mission Andrey Tyurin

The Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case against the former head of the military mission of the Ministry of Defense, Andrey Tyurin, accused of abuse of power in the execution of a state defense order.

The investigation established that in 2020-2021, the state customer concluded multi-million contracts with PJSC "United Aircraft Corporation" (UAC) for the manufacture of electromechanical devices.

Tyurin was responsible for monitoring the execution of contracts. In 2021-2023, Tyurin, abusing his official powers, organized the signing of fictitious documents on the technical characteristics and cost of these special products, which did not meet the terms of the state contract.

As a result of the crime, the terms of the contract were not fulfilled, and the Russian Ministry of Defense suffered damage of more than 40 million rubles.
