Foreign customers are showing great interest in the Russian Be-200 amphibious aircraft, said the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Anton Alikhanov.
According to him, the department is aimed at developing supplies and will continue to actively finance them, loading the Beriev Aircraft Company with work.
We have very great interest from foreign customers. I won’t name everyone now, but they are very interested in both Turkey and a number of Asian countries, and there will be a delivery to Algeria in the coming years.
The Be-200 is especially in demand in regions with hot climates, for example, in the countries of Southeast Asia and Latin America.
The multi-purpose medium-class Be-200 jet amphibious aircraft was designed on the basis of the A-40 Albatross amphibian. The Be-200ChS can take 12 tons of water on board, and in one refueling it is capable of dropping up to 270 tons of water on the fire.
