Scientists from the St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications (SPbSUT) have created an algorithm based on the Distributed Disaggregated Fog (DD-FOG) technology, which provides stable communication where traditional infrastructure is absent.
The algorithm is capable of independently making decisions about migration, mutual migration, or scaling of microservices, adapting to changing traffic characteristics and recognizing it using neural networks.
This allows for even distribution of the load in the network, maintaining stable operation of communication systems even in difficult conditions, including remote areas and areas with complex terrain.
DD-FOG technology is a distributed edge computing architecture where data processing is performed on different devices rather than centrally. This approach unloads cloud services, speeds up data processing, and allows the computing power of end devices to be used as efficiently as possible.
