Scientists from the St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications (SPbSUT) have created an algorithm based on Distributed Disaggregated Fog (DD-FOG) technology that provides stable communication where traditional infrastructure is lacking.
The algorithm is capable of independently making decisions about migration, mutual migration, or scaling of microservices, adapting to changing traffic characteristics and recognizing it using neural networks.
This allows for even distribution of load in the network, maintaining stable operation of communication systems even in difficult conditions, including remote areas and areas with complex terrain.
DD-FOG technology is a distributed edge computing architecture where data processing is performed on different devices rather than centrally. This approach offloads cloud services, speeds up data processing, and allows the computing power of end devices to be used as efficiently as possible.
