The operator "VimpelCom" (Beeline brand) has updated the terms of its "plan b." tariff. Subscribers were given the opportunity to exchange unused gigabytes for "gold."
We are not talking about a real precious metal, but about a virtual currency that can be withdrawn in the form of bonus rubles at an exchange rate equivalent to the exchange rate of gold to the ruble, established by the Central Bank of Russia.
One gigabyte is equivalent to 1 mg of "gold", and the exchange is carried out through a mini-application in Telegram. First, gigabytes are exchanged for "gold", and then for bonus rubles, which can be used to pay for communication services.
The amount of accrued bonuses depends not only on the volume of gigabytes, but also on the date of application for the exchange. Bonus rubles are calculated at the Central Bank rate on the day of application. The exchange is available only if there is a balance of gigabytes above the package.
New customers who connect from August 26, 2025, receive an additional 50 GB, which can also be exchanged for "gold". The promotion will last until January 15, 2026. The "plan b." tariff was created to support the younger generation in their daily tasks and their desire for self-expression. In April 2025, the operator relaunched it, combining familiar telecom services with access to neural networks without VPN and compensation for a Telegram Premium subscription.
