Specialists of SKB-2 of the Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant have developed a new KMZJET-240 waterjet propulsion for small vessels.
The new propulsion device is designed to equip boats and vessels with a displacement of up to 3.5 tons. The design of the propulsion unit is designed for integration with a power plant with a capacity of 120 to 400 horsepower.
According to the developer, the propulsion unit provides a traction force of up to 6400 Newtons in mooring mode. Its body parts are made of aluminum alloy, and the impeller is made of corrosion-resistant steel. The device is designed to operate at 3500–4200 revolutions per minute.
KMZJET-240 is equipped with a protective folding intake grate and a technological hatch for maintenance. The design has an anti-corrosion coating and is certified for use on inland waterways and in the coastal marine zone.
The advantages of the model are high maintainability and low life cycle cost. The propulsion unit is fully assembled from Russian components and meets domestic industry standards.
