A system has been created in Russia that provides autonomous flight of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) without operator intervention along specified coordinates. The novelty was demonstrated to the head of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Andrei Belousov, the agency's press service reported.

The characteristics of the novelty are not yet known, but it is obvious that with the use of neural networks and artificial intelligence, the role of the fighters themselves in drone strikes will eventually be reduced to a minimum.

The minister was also shown new ground robotic systems that perform tasks of delivering ammunition and provisions, installing non-explosive barriers, and remote mining of the area.
