Components from the German company Bosch were found in the new Geran-3 jet-powered kamikaze drones. The fuel pump of the drone, manufactured by a German company, attracted attention.
The main difference between the Geran-3 and the regular Geran is the speed and altitude of flight. The drones fly at a speed of 500-600 km/h at an altitude of up to nine thousand meters, which makes it impossible for mobile air defense groups with anti-aircraft guns to intercept them.
The Geran-3 carries a warhead weighing up to 230 - 300 kg to a range of about 1000–1200 km. In total, the Geran 3 can spend 1.5-2 hours in the air.
Among the disadvantages of drones, one can single out the loud sound of the jet engine, as well as a more complex production technology and a higher price compared to the Geran-2, which makes them a less massive combat product.
