Video Emerges of Su-35S Intercepting Boeing P-8 Reconnaissance Aircraft with AN/APS-149 Radar of the U.S. Navy Over the Black Sea

Crews of Russian fighters regularly patrol over the sea area

A Russian Su-35S fighter intercepted and escorted a U.S. Navy Boeing P-8 Poseidon reconnaissance aircraft over the Black Sea. The video appeared on social networks.

A suspended AN/APS-149 Littoral Surveillance Radar System side-looking radar was spotted on the fuselage of the Poseidon.

Reconnaissance aircraft from NATO countries appear over the Black Sea almost every day, flying along the border over international waters. Russian crews also regularly patrol over the sea area.

New versions of the Su-35S fighters were previously seriously updated. The "stuffing" of combat aircraft included technical innovations previously used only in the more modern Su-57 - a radar with a phased array antenna, highly maneuverable R-77M missiles, and Drel glide bombs.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russia is building the world's largest electronic intelligence complex near Kaliningrad.
