Russian Railways (RZD) presented a model of the new two-story high-speed train "Burevestnik" and a suburban diesel train with push-pull technology at the PRO//Motion.Expo International Railway Salon.
The launch of the "Burevestnik" on the Nizhny Novgorod - Moscow route is scheduled for December 3, 2025. Travel time will be 4 hours 25 minutes. The train configuration will be identical to the "Aurora" high-speed train.
The train includes 15 cars and 1,190 seats. Each of them will be equipped with sockets, USB connectors and individual lighting.
The "Burevestnik" will feature the "Poputchik" information and entertainment system with access to movies, press, audiobooks and music. Passengers will be able to order dishes from the restaurant car through this system.
Earlier www1.ru reported that increased passenger cars of T gauge have begun testing on the Russian Railways network.
