The "TSEKH" pilot chemical production facility has opened on the territory of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) for the development and scaling of technologies for the synthesis of pharmaceutical substances.
The infrastructure of "TSEKH" allows carrying out work "turnkey": from the synthesis of milligrams of a new compound in the laboratory to the development of the technology for its production in industrial reactors with a volume of up to 100 liters. The site is equipped with a line of chemical reactors, industrial centrifuges and other equipment.
According to representatives of the institute, the key tasks of the cluster are scaling laboratory developments into finished industrial technologies, stimulating the creation of original drugs and the production of niche products. The site is already working with a number of Russian pharmaceutical companies. The first projects will be the development and scaling of technologies for the synthesis of substances for existing and promising drugs.
The new site will also be used to train future specialists, providing them with the opportunity to work on industrial equipment. The launch of production is aimed at reducing company costs and reducing dependence on foreign suppliers of raw materials.
