Mysterious "Moskvich M70 Prototype" Shown in Photo Turns Out to Be a Renault Sandero Prototype

The third-generation hatchback was preserved among the old prototypes

The "completely new 'Moskvich'" that appeared in photos from the Web turned out to be a third-generation Renault Sandero intended for the Russian market. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Chinese Automobiles."

The photos show the car at the Moscow Automobile Plant under camouflage. Based on the shape of the optics and the front of the body, experts determined that this is not the future "Moskvich M70" based on the second-generation MG HS, but a 3rd generation Renault Sandero hatchback.

Production of the model in Russia was planned from 2022, but the plans were disrupted after the French concern withdrew from the capital of AvtoVAZ.

Many Sandero prototypes have been preserved at the plant, now owned by the "Moskvich" brand, which explains the appearance of disguised cars in the photographs. At the same time, the possibility of producing new "Moskvich" cars based on MG remains open, experts note.
