Three Urent electric scooters were found at the bottom of Lake Baikal, near the town of Slyudyanka (Irkutsk region). The Baikal Interregional Environmental Prosecutor's Office published the information on its Telegram channel.
Urent's partner, an individual entrepreneur, reported that the incident occurred on the night of July 27. The scooters were removed from the water. The perpetrators were brought to administrative responsibility - the fine amounted to 30,000 rubles.
Earlier, on July 24, the Chairman of the Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko, advocated for legislative regulation of the use of electric scooters. According to her, the bill on fines for violating the rules of using electric scooters is planned to be considered and adopted in the autumn parliamentary session.
