Belarusian "Alfa-Bank" Introduces 1% Commission for Ruble Account Top-Ups Starting October 1

The fee will affect BYN transfers from non-residents and RUB top-ups from other banks

From October 1, 2025, Belarusian "Alfa-Bank" will charge a 1% commission for topping up ruble accounts. The new rules apply to top-ups in Belarusian rubles (BYN) from non-resident banks, except for transfers through BISS/SMP cross-border systems, as well as top-ups in Russian rubles (RUB) from other Belarusian banks and from non-resident banks.

Previously, the bank introduced a 3% commission for non-residents for card payments outside of Belarus, with a subsequent clarification: the commission does not apply if the payment is made in the account currency.

As a result, the total costs for top-ups and foreign card payments from "Alfa-Bank" in currencies other than USD and EUR may reach 4%.
