On August 21, at 12:32 Moscow time, from the state test cosmodrome of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation (Plesetsk cosmodrome) in the Arkhangelsk region, the combat crew of the space forces successfully launched the Angara-1.2 light-class launch vehicle with spacecraft in the interests of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
«Ангара-1.2» is a Russian two-stage light-class launch vehicle. It is used to launch payloads up to 3.5 tons into low Earth orbit, and up to 2.4 tons into sun-synchronous orbit.
