On August 21, at 12:32 Moscow time, a combat crew of the space forces successfully launched the Angara-1.2 light-class launch vehicle with spacecraft in the interests of the Russian Ministry of Defense from the state test cosmodrome of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation (Plesetsk cosmodrome) in the Arkhangelsk region.

Angara-1.2 is a Russian two-stage light-class launch vehicle. It is used to launch payloads of up to 3.5 tons into low Earth orbit, and up to 2.4 tons into sun-synchronous orbit.
