Project 1155 ship successfully hits targets with missiles during exercises

The Pacific Fleet frigate "Marshal Shaposhnikov" of Project 1155 conducted training firings with high-precision Kalibr and Uran cruise missiles in the Sea of Japan.

The fleet's press service noted that the designated target was successfully hit by anti-ship missiles.

The frigate "Marshal Shaposhnikov" was launched in January 1985 at the "Yantar" shipyard in Kaliningrad as a large anti-submarine ship of Project 1155.

In 2016, the ship underwent repairs and modernization in Vladivostok at the "Dalzavod" Ship Repair Center.

During the upgrade, "Marshal Shaposhnikov" was reclassified as a frigate and received modern Kalibr-NK and Uran strike missile systems.
