More than 10 ships of the Caspian Flotilla, including the missile ship "Dagestan" (Project 11661 "Gepard"), small missile ships "Tucha", "Amur", "Uglich" (Project 21631 "Buyan-M") and "Veliky Ustyug" (Project 22800 "Karakurt"), small artillery ships "Astrakhan" and "Makhachkala" (Project 21630 "Buyan"), as well as base minesweepers, were involved in credit-tactical exercises. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
As part of the exercises, the ships left the base point, and the sailors made an emergency preparation for battle.
Servicemen of the Caspian Flotilla will practice mine countermeasures, air defense with live firing, artillery firing at coastal targets, as well as episodes of damage control and anti-sabotage defense in an unprotected roadstead.
Caspian minesweepers will make a passage in a conditional minefield.
In August 2024, the small missile ship "Amur" (Project 22800 "Karakurt") was accepted into the Caspian Flotilla. Ships of the "Karakurt" type, designed by engineers of the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau, are distinguished by their striking power and high seaworthiness.
