PJSC "Taganrog Aviation Scientific-Technical Complex" (TANTK) named after Beriev will receive PD-8 engines to modernize the Be-200 aircraft in 2025, announced the acting head of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar.
The governor reminded that PD-8s are currently successfully flying on the SJ-100.
This year we are receiving PD-8s for the Be-200. Currently, the PD-8 is flying on the Superjet, and successfully flying, and this year we are receiving it for re-engining the Be-200.
Slyusar added that the Be-200 aircraft is in high demand among customers.
We have a large number of orders. We were held back by Motor Sich engines. Now we will undergo tests on the Be-200, on the PD-8 on the Be-200.
Rostec noted that work on adapting the PD-8 engine to the Be-200 amphibious aircraft has already started. Initially, the power plant was developed for the short-haul import-substituted SJ-100 aircraft.
TANTK named after Beriev was founded in 1934. The main specialization of the plant is the design, manufacture and maintenance of aircraft and aviation equipment, including amphibious aircraft and seaplanes.
