X5 Group (PJSC «Corporate Center IX5») announced the creation of a new direction — X5 Robotics, which will be engaged in the introduction of robotic technologies in its operational and production processes.
According to the company, X5 Robotics will be responsible for the development, testing and scaling of automated solutions in all business areas of X5. The new division will also form a center of expertise in the field of robotics.
X5 Robotics, as a separate business area, will become a driver of innovation not only within the company, but also beyond its borders.
Similar projects are already being implemented in other large Russian companies. For example, Sber is developing the robotization of processes through SBER Robotics, and Yandex is introducing autonomous technologies in logistics and delivery services.
X5 Group is the largest retail retailer in Russia in terms of revenue. According to data as of June 30, 2025, the company's network has 28,301 stores.
