Scammers have started deceiving Russians by offering to install applications to speed up appointments with doctors. According to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, fraudsters most often contact victims through messengers.
They introduce themselves with a first name and patronymic, ask how long it takes to make an appointment with a doctor, and listen to complaints. Then they offer to install a special application to view available appointment slots, promising to speed up the process.
In reality, the downloaded file turns out to be a remote access program that allows attackers to steal money from online banks. The Ministry of Internal Affairs strongly recommends not downloading suspicious applications and not sharing financial information with strangers.
