A large-scale production of educational drones with artificial intelligence (AI) called "Pioneer Mini 2" will be established in the special economic zone (SEZ) "Technopolis Moscow". The innovative drone was developed by Geoscan and is a compact training quadcopter equipped with a processor with a neural accelerator and a high-resolution camera.
The infrastructure created (in the SEZ) will allow the UAS development company to launch a new educational drone with artificial intelligence into large-scale production on the territory of the capital's special economic zone at the end of 2025.
Thanks to built-in AI and machine vision, the drone is capable of recognizing objects, following a given route, and working as part of a swarm of drones without the need to connect to a server. This makes it an ideal tool for educational purposes.
The drone received 4 brushless motors with individual control. Its speed reaches 20 km/h, and the flight time is 11 minutes.
The drone runs on Linux. This allows you to study piloting and the principles of neural networks. Dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4/5 GHz) provides a stable connection even in the presence of interference.
