A new long-range ocean zone warship will be built in Russia. It will be laid down as part of the next state armament program, according to the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy (VMF), Alexander Moiseev.
On Thursday, the frigate "Admiral Amelko" of Project 22350, a carrier of "Caliber", "Zircon", and "Onyx" missiles, was launched in St. Petersburg.
We are working on a promising long-range ocean zone warship. The technical specifications have been issued to the Navy, are currently being implemented by designers, and are in the final stage of the technical project. There is confidence... that the technical project will be completed on time.
Moiseev added that the new ship for the Russian Navy will be laid down as part of the next armament program. The Commander-in-Chief of the Navy expressed confidence that the ship will be built at the "Severnaya Verf" shipyard in St. Petersburg.
