KAMAZ presented the autonomous truck "Mayak-2" — the "Kamaz-5490" tractor unit of the latest generation K5 at the forum "Unmanned Systems: Technologies of the Future".

"Mayak-2" is equipped with third-level autonomous systems. There is a driver in the cab, ready to take control at any moment.

The truck is produced in Naberezhnye Chelny. The on-board equipment of the highly automated vehicle includes the main computing unit of the automated traffic control system (ATCS), machine vision modules, video surveillance, lidar and radar vision, high-precision inertial and satellite navigation systems, as well as communication devices and a "black box" for data recording.

Within the framework of the experimental legal regime, Natcar autonomous tractors are already transporting commercial cargo along the M-11 "Neva" and TsKAD highways.
