On August 20, 2025, the biosatellite "Bion-M" No. 2 will be launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. The spacecraft is fully fueled with fuel and compressed gases, which completes preparations for launch.
Experiments on board the satellite include research with mice, flies, cell cultures, algae, and microorganisms. The data obtained will help scientists better understand the effects of the space environment on biological systems, which is important for preparing long-duration manned flights.
In addition to the scientific program, the mission includes research on educational projects for schoolchildren. The launch of "Bion-M" No. 2 will be part of a series of experiments aimed at studying biological processes in space.
