ВМФ России развернул первый Центр управления беспилотниками

It was built in Kamchatka

The Russian Navy (VMF) has deployed its first-ever drone control center, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.

«Forpost-RU»

The center was created in Kamchatka. The military department plans to build special sites on the peninsula where long-range drones can be based. The Forpost and Inokhodets drones will be responsible for monitoring the Arctic.

All information from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the air will be sent to the control center, according to military expert Dmitry Boltenkov.

UAVs will allow for round-the-clock patrolling of water areas and vast territories. It is much cheaper and easier to do this with drones than with manned aviation.

The analyst added that the capabilities of Russian UAVs allow for the control of vast areas. The new infrastructure for servicing drones will allow for the transfer of additional forces to the northern latitudes at the first sign of need.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the rate of Su-57 fighter jets entering the Russian Aerospace Forces has increased.
