The new dry cargo vessel "Vladimir Erygin" of the Volga Shipping Company made its first voyage after loading wheat in the port of Togliatti. The vessel was built according to the RSD71 project, which is a development of the previous RSD59 model.
The main advantage of the new dry cargo vessel is its versatility, allowing it to operate efficiently in both sea and river conditions.
The improved design expands transportation possibilities, allowing it to enter ports inaccessible to vessels of the RSD59 project. "Vladimir Erygin" meets modern environmental requirements of the International Maritime Organization, reducing emissions into the atmosphere.
This is the third vessel in a series of four motor ships of the RSD71 project, developed by the Marine Engineering Bureau. Earlier in 2025, "Konstruktor Egorov" and "Leonid Bagrov" went on voyages.
