A theory has emerged online that Russia has begun using the Su-57 as a carrier of the Kh-47M2 Kinzhal hypersonic systems. Although previously, the use of other aircraft was known — the Tu-22M3 and the MiG-31 fighter.

There is no official confirmation that the Su-57 is already "firing" hypersonic missiles at the moment. But if this is the case, then the aircraft, possessing low visibility, is able to get closer to the target, and the flight time of the missile is significantly reduced, which makes intercepting the Kinzhal extremely difficult.

The exact characteristics of the Kinzhal are classified. According to open sources, the maximum speed of the missile is up to 10 times the speed of sound, and the range is 2,000 km.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the developer of the new R-77M missile for the Su-57 and Su-35S with a range of 190 km has become known.
