New generation "Voronezh" radar stations (RLS) have gone on combat duty in the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS), said First Lieutenant General Alexander Maksimtsev, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Aerospace Forces.
According to him, the Voronezh radar stations provide a continuous peripheral field of the missile attack warning system. The systems were created using high factory readiness technology.

According to open sources, the Voronezh radar is capable of detecting and tracking ballistic missiles and aircraft at a distance of more than 6 thousand kilometers.
