The tank is equipped with a new 125 mm 2А46М-5 gun with increased barrel life, a Sosna-U multi-channel gunner's sight and a new Akveduk R-168-25U-2 VHF radio station.
In addition, the updated tank received 4S24 Relikt dynamic protection (DZ) elements, covering the side and rear armor plates of the turret, and two Kontakt-5 DZ elements, covering the sector of the 2A46M-5 gun mask.
