Aluminum billetless rolling mill created by scientists from Siberian Federal University

The technology makes it possible to turn aluminum waste into finished products, reducing production costs

Scientists from the Siberian Federal University have developed an installation for billetless rolling of aluminum alloys. It converts molten metal, including waste, into rods, wires and other long products. The technology eliminates the ingot creation stage, reducing time and energy consumption.

We have applied for two patents, since the method and device for billetless rolling-pressing of rods from aluminum alloys have been developed for the first time.

Experts note the economic benefits of the technology. It speeds up production, reduces energy consumption and allows recycling of waste, such as chips and defective rods. This reduces the cost of production.
