Legendary Soviet-made T-55 tanks have been spotted in service with the Cambodian army. Judging by the footage that has appeared online, the combat vehicles have not even been protected with anti-drone "barbecue cages."
The T-55 is a medium tank developed on the basis of the T-54, from which it differs in a more powerful engine, increased ammunition load, NBC (nuclear, biological, and chemical) protection systems, an expanded fuel system, thermal smoke equipment, and improved night vision devices.
The T-55 became one of the most widespread tanks in history, was supplied for export, and also ended up in the Cambodian army.
The military highly values the T-55 for its 100-mm D-10T2S rifled gun with a firing range of up to 15 km, even from concealed positions.
