"Avtozavod St. Petersburg" Takes Corporate Holiday

From July 28, 2025, the St. Petersburg "Avtozavod St. Petersburg" (known as the Nissan site) has suspended the assembly of Xcite cars due to a corporate holiday. The production break will last until August 17. This was reported by the company's press service.

Previously, the plant was engaged in the production of Lada X-Cross 5 cars based on FAW models, but cooperation with the Chinese partner ended. In the spring of 2024, the plant started producing Xcite crossovers. First, the X-Cross 7 model (an analogue of Chery Tiggo 7 Pro) was launched into production, and then the X-Cross 8. By the end of 2024, about 20 thousand cars were assembled under the new brand.

Within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2025, "AvtoVAZ" and "Avtozavod St. Petersburg" signed an agreement on the production of the Lada Iskra model. The assembly of the first copies of the model is scheduled for September of this year.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that a record number of Xcite cars were sold in June 2025 through the Lada dealer network.
