The second and third tankers of project 23130 "Vasily Nikitin" and "Engineer-Admiral Kotov" are being completed at the Nevsky Shipyard

Supply vessels of project 23130 will be able to refuel three ships at once in the open sea

The Nevsky Shipbuilding Plant continues to complete the second and third serial tankers of project 23130 — "Vasily Nikitin" and "Engineer-Admiral Kotov". The first tanker of this type, "Academician Pashin", joined the auxiliary fleet of the Russian Navy on January 21, 2020.

The first serial tanker "Vasily Nikitin" was launched on October 6, 2023 in Shlisselburg at the Nevsky Shipyard. The vessel, created according to the project of St. Petersburg CJSC "SpetsSudoproekt", has a deadweight of 9,000 tons, a length of 130 meters, a cruising range of up to 8,000 nautical miles and an autonomy of 60 days.

The contract for the construction of the medium sea tanker of project 23130 was signed on November 1, 2013. It is planned to build a total of five such serial tankers.

Tankers of project 23130 are designed for receiving, storing, transporting and transferring various liquid cargoes for the needs of the fleet. They can transport fuel oil, diesel fuel, motor oil, aviation kerosene, fresh water, as well as dry cargo, including technical and ship equipment, as well as food.

These supply vessels are capable of simultaneously providing fuel to up to three ships, following at a distance of 50 to 100 meters, transferring fuel both along the side and by wake method.

This series of tankers significantly expands the capabilities of the fleet in terms of autonomous supply of fuel and other necessary resources in remote marine areas, increasing the operational mobility and survivability of ships.
