The Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle with the helio-geophysical satellites "Ionosphere-M" No. 3 and No. 4, as well as 18 secondary payload vehicles, were installed at the 1S launch site of the Vostochny Cosmodrome, Roscosmos reported.
On Tuesday, July 22, pre-launch work continued at the cosmodrome. The removal and verticalization of the rocket is planned. The rocket launch will take place at 08:54 Moscow time on July 25.
The Ionosphere-M satellites are part of the space complex "Ionozo зон d", created to monitor the helio-geophysical situation, observe the ionosphere and the Sun.
In particular, it is planned to monitor the radiation situation and study the distribution of ozone in the upper atmosphere. In total, the complex will include four Ionosphere-M satellites.
