The Russian fourth-generation Su-34 fighter, during combat use, demonstrated the highest capabilities in aerial maneuvering, allowing the crew of the combat aircraft to avoid being hit by three Patriot anti-aircraft missiles at once. The case was recounted by Lieutenant General (Ret.) Yevgeny Buzhinsky.
According to him, the pilot made a daring turn and began to descend sharply, trying to hide from the radar's field of view.
Constant maneuvering at high speed and firing decoys allowed the crew to escape from what seemed like a hopeless situation, Buzhinsky noted.
The Major General noted that this was a striking and unusual case, which shows that American technology is not a panacea for air threats.
The Su-34 fighter-bomber is designed to engage ground, surface, and air targets, infrastructure facilities located at significant distances from the base airfield.
The aircraft can operate in any geographical theater of war, under informational and fire counteraction from the enemy, day and night in simple and complex meteorological conditions.
Earlier www1.ru reported that T-80BVM tanks stopped "flying": they began to be used in a new way.
