Ticket prices to North Korea start from 44.6 thousand rubles

Nordwind Airlines has opened ticket sales for direct flights between Moscow and Pyongyang.

The first departure is scheduled for July 27 at 19:00 from Sheremetyevo Airport.

Flights will be operated on a Boeing 777-200ER, designed for 440 passengers. The journey time will be 8 hours and 5 minutes. The minimum ticket price to Pyongyang is 44,685 rubles, and the return ticket starts from 44,900 rubles. The return flight is scheduled for July 29.

In early July, Rosaviatsiya issued the carrier a permit for regular flights between the two capitals with a frequency of up to twice a week. Later, the Ministry of Transport clarified that initially, flights will be operated once a month to assess demand and load.

Rail service between Moscow and Pyongyang has also been restored: trains, suspended in 2020 due to the pandemic, are running again since June 17. Flights between Pyongyang and Khabarovsk resumed on June 19.
