In 2026, robot assistants for endoprosthetics are planned to be installed in hospitals in Cheboksary, St. Petersburg, Kurgan, and Smolensk. Equipment is currently being purchased there. This was announced at a press conference in the Regional Information Center "TASS Kavkaz" by the chief freelance traumatologist-orthopedist of the Moscow Department of Health, Professor of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the RUDN University, Georgy Ayrapetov.
I now know that such robotic systems are in the process of being purchased in many federal institutions across the country — these are St. Petersburg, Kurgan, Cheboksary, Smolensk — major orthopedic centers.
Similar systems have been successfully implemented in Moscow, Novosibirsk, and Ufa. There are several such systems in the capital, and they are used daily, Ayrapetov noted. If we take the whole country, this technology is being actively implemented in Novosibirsk. One robot is already working there, and a second one will appear soon. In Ufa, the robot has been used for several years, and it helps to perform complex operations.
He also emphasized that advanced technologies such as 3D printing and virtual and augmented reality devices are actively used in the work process.
