Import-Substituted Gear Developed by Scientists at Research Institute: Rosneft Actively Working to Replace Foreign Parts

The company is implementing innovative solutions to improve the efficiency of oil refining equipment

Specialists from Rosneft's corporate research institute in Ufa have presented a new development — an improved gearbox gear for the treatment facilities of Bashneft-UNPZ. The part, made according to original drawings, has already been introduced into the production process.

Since 2024, the institute has been actively working on import substitution of critical components for oil refineries. One of the promising areas is the development of 3D printing from polymers and composites, which opens up opportunities for the production of more than 5,000 items of spare parts. In particular, plastic impellers for electric motor pumps are already being tested at the RN-Yuganskneftegaz fields.

Rosneft relies on digital technologies to provide enterprises with spare parts. 3D scanning allows you to create accurate digital models, on the basis of which Russian manufacturers produce parts that are not inferior to foreign analogues.
