Engineers of JSC "NPP" are developing an intelligent electronic warfare (EW) station to suppress drones using the principle of pseudo-random tuning of the operating frequency (PRTOF). This was announced by Igor Potapov, a representative of the developing company.
According to him, specialists are working with software-defined radio technology. It is about intercepting a radio signal at the receiving end and redirecting it to the transmitting end.
We are currently working on calculations of the antenna unit and amplification. The result of the work should be an intelligent EW device operating in the suppression range from 50 MHz to 6,000 MHz and above, we are in the final stage.
Potapov explained that the development of EW systems is an endless process, when technologies catch up with the means of attack. That is, the enemy changes the frequencies at which his drones operate.
