The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec) has sent a new batch of multifunctional Su-34 fighter-bombers to the army.
After testing in various operating modes and a cycle of factory tests, the vehicles have joined the fleet of operational-tactical aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces. This year, UAC plans to further increase the production of combat aircraft.
Rostec clarified that the Su-34s are designed to engage ground, surface and air targets, infrastructure facilities, covered by air defense systems and located at significant distances from the home airfield.
The machine can operate under fire and information countermeasures from the enemy, day and night in simple and complex meteorological conditions, in any geographical theater of operations. The Su-34 uses unguided and guided air-launched weapons. It can also be used to perform air reconnaissance tasks.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that a new wide-body aircraft will appear in Russia: development deadlines have been announced.
