The first footage of Russian modified imitation drones "Gerbera" has appeared online. The drones are capable of acting as false targets, thereby diverting the work of electronic warfare (EW) and air defense (AD) systems of the enemy.
According to the presented footage, it can be seen that "Gerbera" carries a warhead. The drone is equipped with a modem and a camera to transmit video to the operator.
The tactical and technical characteristics of the drones are currently unknown. Open sources indicate that "Gerbera" can connect to their local 4G networks and transmit the necessary data to the drone operator.
At the same time, the UAV's body is made of a special foam that absorbs radar waves. This helps it to camouflage itself from air defense or electronic warfare systems.
Earlier www1.ru reported that a new wide-body aircraft will appear in Russia: development deadlines have been announced.
