Attackers use the image of famous people and refer to Wildberries to deceive Russians. They spread information in Telegram channels, closed chats and on websites, promising easy money on the marketplace. However, in reality, they steal personal data and money. This was reported in the press service of the united company Wildberries & Russ.
The Wildberries & Russ security team reminds you that attackers can exploit the image of media personalities and refer to Wildberries to implement fraudulent schemes. This is exactly such a case. Attackers create fake Telegram channels, closed chats and websites, offering users "easy money from the marketplace".
As a result, the user loses money or personal data instead of earning. The company emphasized that suspiciously favorable working conditions, redirects to third-party sites, chats or channels may indicate fraud. Attackers often require you to deposit money or provide access codes, and also communicate outside of official Wildberries channels.
The Wildberries & Russ security team reminds you: any "additional earnings" offered on behalf of Wildberries on third-party resources is a risk of fraud. Do not enter personal data via links from unknown senders and check information on official resources.
Earlier, Russians were explained how fraudsters convince you to download malware. Attackers pretend to be telecom operators, law enforcement officers, and even colleagues of victims.
