"Alligator" on the hunt: video of the use of the 2A42 cannon from the Ka-52 helicopter on a drone appears

After several hits, smoking debris fell from the sky

A video has appeared online of the Ka-52 Alligator reconnaissance and attack helicopter using its onboard 2A42 cannon to destroy an unmanned aerial vehicle.

The video shows that the drone was flying at a fairly low altitude, but it was still detected. After several hits, a ball of fire appeared in the sky, and then smoking debris began to fall to the ground.

The Alligator's sighting system allows the crew to effectively detect aerial targets at any time of the day. The onboard armament is capable of destroying both UAVs of various types and light aircraft converted into drones.

The targets are engaged with air-to-air missiles "Igla-V" and automatic guns, the use of which in some cases is more effective.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Mi-28NM helicopters were equipped with S-13DF vacuum missiles: they will break through a meter of concrete.
