The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) lost its external power supply and was switched to diesel generators on July 4, 2025. Specialists managed to restore the external power supply to the station.
The 750 kV "Dnieper" line has been put into operation. The radiation background at the site and in the observation zone is normal and does not exceed natural values.
The press service of the ZNPP also reported that the fuel supply system to the station has been built, and it will be enough to maintain the operation of diesel generators for 20 days.
The Zaporizhzhia NPP is located on the left bank of the Dnieper, near the city of Energodar. It is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe in terms of the number of units and installed capacity, with six power units of one gigawatt each. Since October 2022, the NPP has been under the management of Russian specialists.
