KamAZ may switch to a reduced week due to a sharp drop in sales, the company's press service warned.
The decision on the possible introduction of a reduced working mode of production will be made directly before the current month, starting from the end of July, depending on the market situation and the number of orders we have.
However, there is currently no decision to introduce a part-time work week. The company's management is taking all necessary measures: actively looking for orders and trying to constantly load production.
The truck market in Russia is experiencing a significant decline — almost 60%. Expert forecasts for the end of the year are also disappointing. However, PJSC "KAMAZ" shows a more stable position: its sales in the free market decreased by only 30%. At the same time, the company's share in the truck market with a total weight of over 14 tons increased to 37% (excluding the state defense order). This is the best indicator in the industry and evidence of the correctness of the company's chosen strategy in modern conditions.
