The Russian Su-35S fighter is the most advanced combat aircraft in the Flanker line. This conclusion was reached by analysts at 19fortyfive.
Flanker is the code name given by NATO to the family of fighters developed on the basis of the Su-27. Crews effectively use the fighter to solve various tasks, including intercepting air targets at long ranges using R-37M missiles, the analysts noted.
They paid special attention to the ability of the Su-35S to work in conjunction with the fifth-generation Su-57 fighter. Experts stated that Russian pilots successfully use the machines to coordinate actions in the air and exchange data.
Despite the emergence of modern aircraft, the Su-35S will remain the mainstay of Russia's tactical aviation for at least a decade, the authors of the article are sure. The publication added that the fighter combines powerful weapons, high maneuverability and a relatively affordable cost.
