The desire to legally enshrine the rule that airlines in Russia should have at least half of domestically produced aircraft in their fleets is a dubious strategy. This opinion was expressed by the editor-in-chief of the Avia.ru portal, aviation expert Roman Gusarov.
According to him, the main question in this situation is when the industry will be able to provide airlines with at least 50% of domestically produced aircraft.
The deadlines indicated in the comprehensive program for the development of the aviation industry have been repeatedly postponed. No one guarantees that they will not be moved again. Again, we are still quite far from 50% of the fleet. Airlines have nowhere to get aircraft except from domestic manufacturers, when there is no access to Western aircraft.
Gusarov emphasized that there is practically no time, aircraft are needed urgently and new aircraft that are still being developed.
We have technical and scientific reserves, but it usually takes about 10 years to create a new aircraft, and we have only been doing this for literally three to four years. There is very little time, but there is nowhere to go, aircraft are very needed.
The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov, stated the need to legally consolidate the provisions of the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, which sets the goal of 50% of domestic aircraft in the fleets of Russian air carriers. This refers to the decree on national development goals until 2030.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the forecast price of the MC-21 aircraft will be 7.606 billion rubles. At the same time, the State Transport Leasing Company in the summer of 2023 estimated it at around 4.6 billion rubles, excluding subsidies from the National Welfare Fund.
