Литий-ионные батареи для троллейбусов: новая разработка петербургского «Лиотех» повысит автономность транспорта

Batteries will allow trolleybuses to travel up to 35 km without a contact network

In St. Petersburg, the company "Liotech", a resident of the scientific and production center "Technopark St. Petersburg", has developed lithium-ion batteries for urban trolleybuses. According to the company's press service, a contract has already been signed to equip 35 vehicles with new batteries.

Key advantages of the development:

  • Autonomous range of up to 35 km – the trolleybus can move without connecting to the contact network, which is especially useful in case of accidents or power outages.
  • Durability – the service life is 7 years with 80% capacity retention.
  • Resistance to extreme temperatures – batteries operate in the range from -40°C to +45°C.
Thanks to their high characteristics, they (batteries - note by TASS) are successfully used in civil ground electric transport, for example, in trolleybuses. A contract has already been signed for work on 35 vehicles.
