Мошенники стали массово создавать фишинговые сайты под видом китайского маркетплейса Poizon: как распознать подделку

Fake pages often use addresses similar to real ones, but with minor changes

Attackers have begun to massively create phishing sites, imitating the Chinese marketplace Poizon, in order to deceive Russians, Bi.Zone reported. Experts at the company have discovered more than 20 such resources.

In June, specialists ... recorded the registration of new sites disguised as Poizon. In total, more than 20 such resources were discovered. Scammers often exploit the popularity of marketplaces: they create sites that look like official ones. After making a purchase on such a site, the user does not receive the desired product and is left without money.

Previously, the company identified fraudulent schemes in which attackers created stores on Russian marketplaces. After placing an order, the client received a notification of cancellation. The next day, the seller apologized for the cancellation and offered to buy the same product at a reduced price on another platform. To do this, it was necessary to follow a link, which turned out to be phishing.

In order not to become a victim of deception, experts advise paying attention to the seller's rating, the time the store was created, and the availability of customer reviews.

Phishing sites often use addresses similar to real ones, but with minor changes. Always check the URL for extra characters, spelling errors, or suspicious domains. Look at the security of the connection, pay attention to browser and security system warnings. Be wary of large discounts and promotions.
