A Su-27 fighter jet, performing a training flight, crashed in a forest area of the Nizhny Novgorod region. One pilot was found without injuries, the search for the second continues.
A special commission will investigate the incident and will arrive at the crash site soon.
Emergency services, including fire crews, are currently working at the scene. The Russian Ministry of Defense has not yet commented on the incident.
Updated. The Russian Ministry of Defense commented on the incident, reporting that the crashed aircraft was a Su-34.
